Meet Kate:

 

Kate Faenza Koch, CMP

Owner, Meeting & Event Planner

Kate moved to Washington, DC in June of 2006 and has been event planning ever since. Upon settling in DC, Kate started planning community events and fundraisers for ZERO - The End of Prostate Cancer. In 2008, Kate began a six year relationship with Federal Bar Association where she managed their national meetings and conferences program as their Meetings & Education Manager. In 2011, Kate passed the Certified Meeting Planner exam and continues to renew her certification through involvement with professional associations such as PCMA and MPI.

Kate founded KFK Associates in 2013 to help organizations and individuals fill their specific meeting and event planning needs.

Kate remains invested in her first love and continues to plan conferences and meetings nationwide. From Las Vegas to National Harbor, she enjoys the finesse of a 20 person meeting as much as the balance of a large convention.

However, Kate also found a love for special events and a sense of satisfaction in helping people build lifetime memories around cherished occasions. Whether it's help for months before or jumping in on the big day, she finds both to be rewarding experiences.

In 2014, Kate began working with event planner extraordinaire Kitty Lansdale, President of Lansdale Associates for over two decades. As Director of Special Events, Kate aids in planning a wide range of special events for some of DC's most noteworthy causes including Woodley House, World Environment Center and Children's Defense Fund.

When not planning events,  Kate enjoys spending time with her family including her husband and three children. She also enjoys traveling, gardening, a great meal and improving her crossword puzzle skills.
